Banking & financial services

Financial systems must preserve transaction integrity while connecting channels, payment networks, identity providers, core platforms and human exception handling.

The operating context

East African financial services operate across bank accounts, mobile money, cards, agents, real-time transfers and batch settlement. A customer may experience one payment, but the institution must coordinate several independently failing systems and still prove exactly what happened. The engineering objective is not simply low latency. It is a traceable transaction state, bounded retry behaviour, deterministic reconciliation and an operator path for exceptions that automation cannot resolve safely.

Wavelink structures these systems around explicit ledgers, durable events and controlled integration boundaries. A channel acknowledgement is not confused with final settlement. Duplicate messages are expected and handled through idempotency. Every material state transition retains the actor, source, reason and correlation identifier needed for operations, audit and dispute investigation.
